We offer Multiple Training Packages to meet your specific needs:
1. Obedience Abbreviated -
Our Obedience Abbreviated training program starts with your dogs boarding and training with us for 10-14 days. During this time the educated, professional dog trainers of K-9 Spa & Training Center will work with your dog many times throughout the day, in a private one-on-one setting. For the initial stay this program will mainly focus on you and your dog’s individual needs along with mastering 7 basic commands on a 6-foot leash. These commands consist of:
1.Heel 2.Sit 3.Down 4.Stay 5.Come 6.Sit Stay 7.Down Stay
Upon pick up of your dog, you and your family will see a demonstration along with a one-hour private one-on-one lesson with your dog and a professional trainer. Now that you have started training, K-9 Spa & Training Center will include 2 one-on-one follow up lessons to train your dog to the very best of his/her ability in the amount of time that we have. The follow up sessions may include teaching each family member the proper technique in leash handling, hand and voice commands as well as behavioral problem solving. These teaching tools will mimic what has been taught during the 10-14 day stay at K-9 Spa & Training Center. Please remember that we can not recreate your home environment however, will start the process of better communication and control which go hand in hand in solving any behavioral problems.
2. Obedience Limited Lifetime -
Our Unlimited Lifetime dog training program starts with your dogs boarding and training with us for 10-14 days. During this time the educated, professional dog trainers of K-9 Spa & Training Center will work with your dog many times throughout the day, in a private one-on-one setting. The follow up sessions may include but are not limited to covering such topics as:
Dog distractions, 15 foot leash work, Toy distractions, 30 foot leash work, Tab leash work, House Manners, and your dog working for you OFF LEASH!!!
This program also enables you and your dog to develop the control needed to upgrade to protection.

3. Personal Protection Training -
Initial Protection training starts with a boarding stay. This can be included in the initial obedience plus protection stay or an additional stay through the step-up program process.

I don’t want to change my dog’s personality. Would protection training make my dog mean? NO, the specialized training at K-9 Spa & Training Center will not change your dog’s basic personality or make your family pet any less affectionate, loving, friendly or tolerant of your children. Our protection training simply makes your pet constantly alert and capable of responding if danger threatens. Dogs trained in protection are not overly vicious, overly aggressive or dangerous. They are taught to protect when a threatening situation arises. More importantly, they are taught to stop barking and stop showing aggression with an “out” command given by the owner.
